TOP 5 MUSEUM MUST GO IN HO CHI MINH

There are some museum that you must go in Ho Chi Minh city. Most of them is about the traditional and cultural of Viet Nam except the new one : 3D Museum in district 7. Let’s take a look and make your own plan trip when you visit Ho Chi Minh. There is also an article about Top 10 places to visit in Ho Chi Minh that I suggest is here...

1.  The Museum of Vietnam's History

(Inside the gates of the HCMC Zoo/Botanical Gardens, Le Duan, District 1)

Possibly one of the best museums we've seen in Vietnam, the natural history museum of Ho Chi Minh City manages to chart the country's history from prehistoric times and 10,000 year old artifacts to the wars with China and the numerous dynasties that have shaped the development of the Vietnamese nation over time. There are some fantastic examples of sculpture and art from the Cham and Oc Eo civilizations, statues of Buddhas from across the region, collections of porcelain and art from various historical periods and a even a mummy found preserved in Saigon. The narratives on the walls throughout the museum also go some way to helping the visitor understand the many periods of Vietnamese history, with only a few gaps. Highly recommended.

2. War Remnants Museum

(28 Vo Van Tan, District 3)

Practically required viewing for any visitor to Ho Chi Minh City, the War museum is an comprehensive collection of photographs, video and other evidence detailing the horrors of war and the aftermath of unexploded ordinance, agent orange and other legacies of the combat. Remarkably the museum manages to avoid being overly political, instead pointing the finger at the senseless nature of war itself rather than focusing too closely on assigning blame. It is a sombre and moving experience, but it is highly recommended both to help understand what Vietnam went through and as a reminder of the importance of campaigning for peaceful solutions to differences between nations.

3. Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum

(Duc Chinh Street, District 1 - Behind the bus station opposite Ben Thanh Market)

Housed in a beautiful old building from the colonial era, the Fine Arts Museum has an interesting collection of works from both contemporary and traditional artists, as well as a fascinating collection of statues and artifacts dating back as far as the first century AD on the 3rd floor. Well worth a visit.

4. The Ho Chi Minh Museum

(1 Nguyen Tat Thanh, District 4)

Just over a bridge from the downtown areas of Nguyen Hue and Dong Khoi (the traffic is vicious so we'd advise jumping in a taxi rather than walking over the bridge!) on the banks of the river is a museum devoted to Ho Chi Minh. It is set in an attractive building and garden with good views of the river, and contains a potentially fascinating collection of photographs detailing the life of Ho Chi Minh. Sadly this potential is lost as so many of the photos captions, even when translated, fail to explain the significance of events or meetings depicted in photographs, making the experience somewhat bewildering for those that have not already studied the life of Ho Chi Minh (which, of course, most Vietnamese people have)
While the photos themselves are interesting, the museum is not really recommended unless you have a lot of time on your hands or a strong interest (and prior knowlege) in the man that lead Vietnam's campaign for independence.

(02-04 No.9 Street, HimLam Tan Hung Ward District 7 )

Artinus (Art In Us) is a 3D paintings art museum which has just been built and put into trial operation in Ho Chi Minh city. This is considered the first 3D painting museum in the city. You will become very small when setting foot in the art world. Currently, the museum has 9 different topic areas which finely are decorated such as the wildlife world, oceans, the Renaissance art, ancient Egypt, etc.
Especially here is the image of Vietnam which is located in the heart of the museum, with highlight images as vast terraced fields in northwest region, Halong Bay, Hue ancient citadel or charmingMekong Delta Rivers. The impressive image is a girl in traditional ao dai costume which is drawn in big size.
3D Painting is the art form that applied with near and far principle, and then drawing in walls, ceilings, floors, etc. Images of people or nature are combined to make up the rich and vivid for work. When stepping through each different topic area, you’ll be lost in a new world with many different emotions and being surprised by the images which were designed in a related way.

Saigon (also officially known as Ho Chi Minh City or locally in Vietnamese as Sài Gòn) is Vietnam’s most booming up and coming city, a places where the action never stops. If you want to discover new active places in the active city like Ho Chi Minh, come and make some memories here.

1. 3D ART MUSEUM – ARTINUS

Artinus (Art In Us) is a 3D painting art museum which has just been built and put into trial operation in Ho Chi Minh city. This is considered the first 3D painting museum in the city. You will become very small when setting foot in the art world. Many houses are designed in a tilting position compared to the floor, making a small or big difference in attracting many young people to take pictures and experience.
Small paintings decorated around corridors and walkways were also meticulously drawn and animated. You may be deceived vision with these colorful paintings. Even taking by phone, you can still have your own realistic 3D pictures. I think Artinus is one of best things to do in Ho Chi Minh city.

Nguyen Hue walking street is chosen as a place for big events of Ho Chi Minh city as parade, meetings, street festivals, Nguyen Hue flower path. Moreover, this path also takes place activities of culture exhibitions, sport, art performances, etc.

3. STARLIGHT BRIDGE

The Anh Sao (Starlight) Bridge is located in the heart of the international commercial and financial district of Phu My Hung. The first modern pedestrian bridge of Vietnam, it cost VND50 billion (about US$2.5 million) to construct and was officially inaugurated in April 2010.While many stop by to enjoy the beautiful scenery, others want to experience the splendour of a 170m-long walk amongst the LED-lit stars (simulated by the lights on the ground). The solar powered lights collect energy during the day using specially designed battery panels located on the sides of the bridge.

Nuzzled along a beautiful river promenade with a fresh cool breeze flowing all the time, Anh Sao Bridge is an architectural symphony which perfectly harmonizes with the natural setting to create an ideal destination for local residents and visitors to enjoy.
